The UAB Sports and Exercise Medicine team will present at the 2024 American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Md., from April 12 to April 17, 2024.
The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine is a society formed and crafted specifically for primary care non-surgical sports medicine physicians. The AMSSM “provides a forum to foster professional relationships among sports medicine physicians to advance the discipline of sports medicine through education, research, advocacy and excellence in patient care.”
The AMSSM Annual Meetings cover many topics at the forefront of sports medicine, such as health equity, concussion, lifestyle medicine, mental health, the importance of physician support and wellness, and more. Known as the premier educational meeting for sports medicine physicians and healthcare providers, this conference highlights the latest research and medical practices to enhance the care of sports medicine patients. This year’s theme is “Physician Leaders in Sports Medicine.” The conference includes national and international experts who will highlight practice-changing research and its clinical application as attendees learn to apply leadership skills, collaboration and innovation to their own practice, communities, AMSSM and beyond.
