The Recruitment and Retention Shared Facility (RRSF) supports health equity research by providing participant recruitment, retention, and data collection services for research studies and clinical trials. Over 25 years, the RRSF team has developed specific expertise in recruitment and retention of populations typically under-represented in biomedical research. RRSF also provides qualitative interview and focus group moderation services, as well as patient/participation navigation services.
With a team of telephone survey interviewers, data management personnel, focus group/interview facilitators, and recruitment coordinators, the RRSF can provide researchers with a cost-effective, centralized resource for conducting representative quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research.
Our Services
- Assist investigators in developing research proposals, including detailed recruitment and/or retention study strategies and budgets
- Provide a recruitment infrastructure, including a data information system, customized survey modules, and recruitment and retention reports
- Create and conduct tailored population and/or clinic-based recruitment strategies
- Conduct phone or in-person study eligibility screenings
- Facilitate qualitative studies, including focus group and individual interviews
- Conduct phone surveys
- Schedule and facilitate baseline and follow-up assessments of study participants
- Assist in the development of study databases
- Develop and implement participant retention plans
- Provide navigation services to overcome barriers to study participation
