A computer geek since the days of DOS, Will got his Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from Jefferson State in 2012 and a BA in Computer Information Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017. After being employed by UAB College of Arts & Sciences Infromation Technology, he transitioned to the UAB department of eLearning and Professional Studies in 2021 as UAB's Canvas LMS Administrator. As Canvas Administrator, Will evaluates and supports Academic Technologies incorporated into UAB Canvas, designing the API programs that ensure smooth interoperability between and across UAB and student computing systems.
For the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Mass Spectrometry/Proteomics(MSP) Shared Resource (SR), Will wears many hats. Will follows in the footsteps of his mentor Greg Bowersock in supporting and expanding the LIMS system, managing the MSP-SR Servers and supporting the nearly 20 computers needed for daily operations. He has built this website using Joomla. Will has added a Transproteomic Pipeline server, Proteome Discoverer, and Scaffold to the many tools used in the lab.
