Neuroengineering PhD Program
Please congratulate Dr. Lynn Dobrunz on final approval of the new Ph.D Program in Neuroengineering at UAB. It takes a multiple years to create a new graduate program/major.
Dr. Dobrunz will serve as co-director of this new graduate program that is thought to be the first of its kind in the country. Of course partners from multiple departments also contributed to these efforts.
Neurobiology primary faculty now serve as graduate program Directors, Co-directors, or Associate Directors for three graduate themes: Neuroengineering (Dr. Lynn Dobrunz), Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology (Dr. Alecia Gross), and of course Neuroscience (Dr. Lucas Pozzo-Miller and Dr. Cristin Gavin, Associate Director).
