Our division, via the UAB Brain Aging and Memory Clinic, provides state-of-the-art care for older adults with a variety of neurological disorders affecting cognition and behavior, including age-related memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Parkinson’s-related cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, Creutzfeld-Jakob disease, and other related conditions. The Brain Aging and Memory Clinic is one aspect of UAB’s commitment to excellence in caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions.

Education

We offer a two-year UCNS certified fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neurospsychiatry.

Our physicians work closely with the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center to conduct clinical research, including clinical trials of potential new treatments, and scientists in our Center for Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics (CNET) are engaged in laboratory research to understand the causes of these disorders and develop the next generation of therapies.
