The Roy R. Kracke Clinical Services Building has housed new discoveries and groundbreaking findings for decades. As we prepare for the new Altec Styslinger Genomic Medicine and Data Sciences Building, we honor will the important work of researchers, educators, and physicians, now and in the past, who worked in this space, as well as Dr. Roy R. Kracke—to whom the building was dedicated.

Frida Rosenblum, M.D., assistant professor in the UAB Department of Pathology, has been awarded the junior faculty 2021 Dean’s Excellence Award for Teaching.

Sixto M. Leal, Jr., M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor in Department of Pathology, has been awarded the junior faculty 2021 Dean’s Excellence Award for Service.

Brandi McCleskey, M.D., assistant professor in the Department of Pathology, has been awarded the junior faculty 2021 Dean’s Excellence Award in Mentorship.

For Women’s History Month this year, the School of Medicine is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments, achievements, and successes of women over time. For Part 4, we focus on women currently making history in administration, diversity, and outreach.
