Srihari Prahad, M.D., PGY1, joined the UAB Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology in June 2024. A native of Hoover, Alabama, Prahad completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Alabama and medical degree at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

Watch sports, golf, video games, and eat at restaurants with my fiancé.

What hobby or activity do you wish you had more time for?

Honestly, I feel like I have so much time to pursue my hobbies and have fun outside of work because our program leadership fosters an environment that allows for us to get great training while also being able to spend quality time with family and friends.

If you could do any other job, what would it be?

My dream job is to be a football coach!
