Educational Research & Innovations in Clinical & Health Sciences (ENRICH) Week, an annual conference for health educators that promotes teaching skills, fosters curriculum innovation, and showcases scholarship and research findings in health education, will have its 2021 slate of events Sept. 21-23.
Formerly RIME Week, ENRICH Week was renamed this year to be reflective of the interprofessional collaboration that is essential to the mission of the Healthcare Educators Academy, which now leads the education-focused event.
The week will begin with the ENRICH Week Poster Session will be live online the full week during ENRICH via this online poster platform. Opportunities to live chat via Zoom with presenters will be available on the site Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 1-3 p.m.
Will Bynum, M.D., associate professor of Family Medicine and residency program director for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Duke University School of Medicine, will present “The Shame Conversation” during the keynote presentation on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. The Emerging Educators Workshop will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, via Zoom. Formerly known as the RIME Fellows Workshop, this event is designed for those early in their teaching careers who want to hone their skills in teaching in healthcare education. Sessions will be led by Kelley Swatzell, Ph.D. (School of Public Health), Brook Hubner, Ph.D. (Department of Medical Education), Ryan Kraemer, M.D. (Department of Medicine), and Michelle Brown (School of Health Professions). The workshop will be held via Zoom. Interested participants can register for the workshop online.
