UAB Department of Surgery Administrative & Communications Director Marissa Cabrera Keppley has been elected to the Association of Academic Surgical Administrators (AASA) Board of Directors.
Keppley will join the AASA Board in Boston, Massachusetts, at their 36th annual conference and will discuss the necessity of effective communication in her presentation “Per my previous e-mail: Tips for Improved Communications to Achieve Results.”
“It is an honor to join the board of directors for an organization that has been such a pivotal part of my development as a surgical administrator,” says Keppley. “I am thankful for this opportunity and am beyond grateful for the institutional support I received when I joined the election this year.”
Her term as a board member will officially begin at the conclusion of this year’s conference.
