Work has begun on a transformational renovation to Volker Hall’s entrance to create a modern atrium. Due to this construction, the primary entrance into Volker Hall, located at the corner of 16th St and University Blvd, has closed until further notice. This includes the entrance itself, the exterior stairway, a portion of the sidewalk, and the pedestrian crosswalks leading to Volker across both University Blvd and 16th St. S.
For alternate entrances into Volker Hall, three specific routes offer easy access to the building:
- The ground floor entrance with the ADA accessible elevator will continue to be available for now, and we will update you when that changes.
- The connection to Lister Hill Library offers several options. Either the ground floor connection or first floor connection to the VH Plaza entrance are accessible.
- The stairway on 16th St across from the Children’s Hospital Parking Deck will also be available with quick access to the entrance into the airport lounge area of the building.
