Twenty-nine individuals comprising six teams recently graduated from UAB Medicine’s High Performing Care Collaborative (HPCC) fall 2024 program. The program, presented by UAB Medicine’s Leadership Development Office, recognized its graduates at a ceremony on Oct. 3, 2024.
"The session was one of the most impactful leadership development sessions I have ever attended, and the time was well worth it," one participant said.
The purpose of the HPCC is to submerse clinical leadership teams with key management and leadership principles that drive outcomes while forming their own collaborative action plans. The goal is to promote collaboration across departments and entities, as well as creativity and problem-solving.
“This two-day intense leadership development workshop for intact team leaders involves a large investment of time by already very busy leaders," said Jean Ann Larson, Ed.D., MBA, BSIE, FACHE, LFHIMSS, FIISE, Chief Leadership Development Officer. "However, the time spent helps the teams gel and develop a strategic action plan for the areas that they lead.”
