Brief Biography

Deborah Kimberlin , Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, has been a faculty member at UAB for over 20 years. She is a clinician-educator and serves as Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic. Her clinical duties predominately involve providing personal prenatal care to women with high- risk pregnancies, supervising the Labor and Delivery Unit, and performing fetal ultrasound. Her educational role involves teaching in the prenatal and ultrasound clinics as well as supervising the prenatal and delivery care which our OBGYN resident physicians and MFM fellows provide. She gives didactic lectures on various medical complications in pregnancy, management of multi-fetal pregnancies, and medical documentation and coding.
