Dr. Mays joined the faculty as part of the UAB Glaucoma Service in 2013. He is an active participant in the UAB Department of Ophthalmology’s residency program and helps train residents interested in glaucoma. He is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Alabama Academy of Ophthalmology and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.

Dr. Mays is a graduate of the UAB School of Medicine. He served an internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, Birmingham, completed a residency in ophthalmology at UAB and a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Florida.
