Christine A. Curcio, PhD, professor in the UAB Heersink School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology, and her laboratory are featured in this month’s issue of EyeNet, a leading journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

This work features collaborative research with K. Bailey Freund, MD, of Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants of New York, on optical coherence tomography (OCT) validation. Much of the research from Curcio’s laboratory represents the work of vision science graduate student, Katie Litts (pictured bottom left), who defended her Vision Science PhD in March 2016.
