Kelly began her career at UAB in 1987 in Surgical Pathology and in 1992 joined the Department of Radiology as a medical transcriptionist. She maintained that position until 2001. She is currently a member of the Imaging Informatics team. Her primary responsibility is working with the RIS group, where she is a system administrator of several systems. These include Powerscribe (digital dictation system for Radiology and CV MRI), and several structured reporting systems including ISCV (Cardiology), Magview (Mammography), Medstreaming (Vascular Surgery) and Clickview (Rheumatology). She is also responsible for various Information systems, including the Rhapsody interface systems as well as the Radiology piece of Cerner (Radnet) and the EHR. |
