Bio
Carli Calderone, M.D., grew up in Ohio, before finally realizing there were warmer places to live, when she moved to Texas for medical school. As a med student, she was involved in peer mentoring, global health, and research. She moved to Birmingham in 2016 and has since fallen in love with the south.
In her free time you'll find her hanging out with friends exploring Birmingham's restaurants and breweries, tending to her garden and plants, and spending time with her husband, son, and new puppy, as well as dreaming about how much she used to travel before she had a son and a new puppy.
Next year, she will be staying at UAB to complete an abdomen fellowship.

What do you love most about being a UAB Radiology Resident?
I love how supported I feel on every level- professionally and personally. My co-residents have become some of my best friends and I couldn't imagine training anywhere else!
