What do you love most about being a UAB Radiology Resident?

I was fortunate enough to be able to spend time in the UAB Radiology reading rooms during my 3rd and 4th year medical school electives. During my time on my radiology rotations, I noticed how the attendings and residents seemed genuinely interested in not only teaching me about radiology but also spending time to get to know me. The attendings and residents always went out of their way to create a welcoming environment for me. Another thing that stuck out to me was that everyone seemed happy with their job and the people that they worked with each day. Now, as a resident at UAB, I have been able to experience the culture within the radiology department firsthand, and I could not be happier to have the opportunity to train as a radiology resident at UAB.
