| Jennifer Bartels completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi (2006) and completed her doctoral studies in Organic Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis (2012). She joined the Lapi Research group as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in 2012 at Washington University School of Medicine and moved with the group to the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the fall of 2015 as a Research Associate. Her research projects involve synthesis of small molecules and modified amino acids as well as radiosynthesis utilizing non-conventional isotopes such as Br-76 and other radiohalogens. She is also actively involved in the development and production of radiopharmaceuticals for use in clinical trials involving both traditional isotopes and radiometals. |
