Kasey Helmlinger, M.D., graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Florida earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He then attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten. Helmlinger went on to complete his preliminary internship year in general surgery, followed by his residency in diagnostic radiology with early specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville. After graduating residency, he went on to complete an additional independent residency in vascular and interventional radiology at UAB. He is currently an assistant professor in the Division of Intervention Radiology. His areas of clinical interest include interventional oncology, hepatobiliary interventions, spine interventions, and quality improvement.
