Junjian Huang, M.D. graduated cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta, GA earning BS degrees in Chemistry and Biology. He then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Huang performed his surgical internship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and started residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He transferred to and completed his diagnostic residency with Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. His research interests include uterine fibroid embolization, thermal ablation, pain control, and political advocacy. During residency, the Society of Interventional Radiology awarded him a grant to study pain control in uterine fibroid embolization. Additionally, he was co-primary investigator on two MGH Schlaeger grants developing an EHR chatbot and investigating thermal protective properties of gelfoam during thermal ablation.
