Dr. Frazier is an associate professor in the department of Radiology, where he serves as vice chair for clinical affairs and the executive medical director. Prior to completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Frazier served six years in the United States Marine Corps, where he was deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Somalia, Bosnia, and Haiti. He subsequently served an additional 24 years in the US Army Reserves and was deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at UAB. Subsequently, Dr. Frazier joined Anniston Radiology Group where he practiced general radiology . In 2010, he joined the faculty at UAB to become the primary radiologist for UAB Highlands hospital and complete a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship. Dr. Frazier has been an active member of the medical staff since his return, serving in multiple roles for the Department of Radiology and hospital. He has completed the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy and was part of the inaugural class of the UAB Medicine Institute for Leadership. In addition to his primary and clinical responsibilities within the department, he is actively engaged with quality and patient safety, planning for future expansion of imaging services, hospital revenue cycle, and compliance.
