Robert P. Nuttall, M.D., Ph.D completed his undergraduate training at the LaFayette College in Easton Pennsylvania. He received his M.S., Ph.D. degree in Cellular and Developmental from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He attended medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia. After completing his residency training at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), he completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Children’s of Alabama/UAB. In 1993 he joined the faculty at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida where he was Vice President of the Medical Staff, Chief of Radiology, and Director of Residency and Medical Student Education. In 2003 he then joined the faculty at the UAB and Children’s of Alabama in pediatric radiology.

Dr. Nuttall served active duty in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps in 1971, after which he remained in the Reserves and received Honorable Discharge in 1978 with discharge rank of 2nd Lieutenant.

Dr. Nuttall is a member of the Informatics Committee at Children’s of Alabama. He is board certified in Pediatric Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. His area of clinical practice is pediatric radiology with special interests in neuro and skeletal imaging.
