The University of Alabama at Birmingham's Department of Radiology is excited to announce that a new Siemens 1.5 T Sola magnet has been added to NP6 imaging services. 

This new addition will supplement the existing two MRI machines, and is expected to decrease turn around times for MR imaging for sick inpatients admitted in the hospital. As a Comprehensive Stroke and Level 1 Trauma Center with large neurological and medical ICUs, it is important for us to be able to provide our patients with the highest quality MR imaging. The new Siemens 1.5T Sola MRI will be a great addition to our current MRI inpatient imaging resources and will help us provide the imaging needed for our complex patient population with increased efficiency.
