Gobind Gill, M.D., joined the UAB Department of Radiation Oncology as assistant professor on Sept. 3, 2024. Gill came to UAB after graduating in July from the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Gill earned his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Auburn University and his medical degree from the UAB School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine prior to residency.
Gill is a 2023 and 2024 recipient of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award for Outstanding Radiologic Research.
His clinical and research areas of interest include Breast, Central Nervous System (CNS), Gastrointestinal (GI), Genitourinary (GU), Head & Neck, Lung, and Metastatic Disease.
Outside of work, Gill enjoys long walks and hikes with his wife and dog, traveling to other countries/cultures, and reading novels. He and his wife also enjoy trying all of the great restaurants that Birmingham has to offer.
