UAB Medicine is pleased to welcome Stephen Benesh, M.D.  Dr. Benesh is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology's Division of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr. Benesh completed his medical degree and neurology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, followed by a clinical fellowship in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Benesh joined the faculty of UAB in August 2019 following his fellowship training.

Dr. Benesh specializes in multiple sclerosis and other immune-based disorders of the central nervous system (CNS) and currently serves patients at the Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital and at the UAB Hospital-Highlands campus of UAB Hospital. He is board certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
