Leadership skills are in high demand among employers and professional schools. For those looking to improve their skills, the University of Alabama at Birmingham Graduate School has launched a LEAD graduate certificate in Leadership and Professional Development.
LEAD is an interdisciplinary certificate program that features instruction from content experts in diverse fields. The graduate certificate is designed to enhance leadership and professional competencies associated with academic, professional and personal success.
“We worked with colleagues across campus to intentionally design this program with interactive experiential-based learning activities,” said Lisa Kerr, director of Community Outreach and Engagement in the UAB Graduate School. “This will require students to practice leadership skills and professional competencies that employers in all disciplines and corporate sectors seek.”
The certificate program is available to individuals with a bachelor’s degree. UAB juniors and seniors may also enroll in the program.
