UAB’s School of Engineering ranks No. 1 for best online master’s in construction management

12UAB’s School of Engineering is recognized as the leading construction management track program in the United States. The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Engineering was ranked No. 1 in the nation for its online construction engineering management track in the Master of Engineering Program, according to the 2020 Online College Rankings Consensus.

An online master’s in construction engineering management is designed to prepare graduate students for successful careers in construction, project management and engineering.  

Professional candidates with a master’s degree in construction management will automatically qualify for senior roles in the construction industry, including careers that incorporate focus areas of construction like LEED certification, sustainability and civil engineering.

The School of Engineering and the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering has formatted this track as a multidiscipline graduate program with zero engineering prerequisites required, and all online students pay in-state tuition plus fees. This track demonstrates UAB’s strategic plan, Forging the Future.

Rankings were combined from U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review, and each university’s College Consensus Score. The master’s programs were ranked upon their reputation, convenience and affordability.
