Entering first-time freshman, transfer and online students can apply at no cost to the University of Alabama at Birmingham during “Free App Week,” running from Oct. 17-22.
In an initiative that UAB hopes will provide increased access to prospective students who are seeking higher education, both in- and out-of-state students are eligible to submit applications with no associated fees during this week.
“In the college search process, application fees can be a barrier that may prevent students from even considering a certain institution,” said Kathleen Stallings, director of Undergraduate Admissions at UAB. “The intention of participating in Free App Week is to encourage students to apply to UAB and take advantage of the waived application fee, and we hope this week helps them get one step closer to becoming a Blazer.”
For prospective students interested in visiting UAB’s campus, the university offers daily campus tours and information sessions. Visiting UAB in a way that works for each potential student’s lifestyle has never been easier.
Free App Week at UAB concludes Saturday, Oct. 22, coinciding with fall 2022 UAB Day: a preview day specifically for high school seniors, featuring a browsing fair of academic departments and student services, academic breakout sessions, special interest sessions, campus tours, and more. Register here before Oct. 17 to attend UAB Day.
