The University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Arts and Sciences is set to host its spring 2024 Haddin Forums.
Located in Sterne Library, the Haddin Arts & Sciences Forums features faculty from the UAB College of Arts and Sciences presenting on interdisciplinary topics ranging from their research to scholastic acumen. The forums seek to promote the academic development of a shared and diverse intellectual community.
On Friday, Jan. 26, Roman Shterenberg, Ph.D., professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Mathematics, will present “Signal Accumulation in Problems with Constraints and its Application to the Real-Life Magnetometry.”
On Friday, Feb. 16, Alison Chapman, Ph.D., professor in the UAB Department of English, will present “The Overlooked Life of Katherine Jones, Lady Ranelagh: Medicine, Chemistry and Single Parenthood in the 17th Century.”
Registration is limited with a light lunch provided. Please register no later than Jan. 22 and Feb. 12, respectively, by sending an email confirming your attendance to haddinforum@uab.edu.
The one-hour lectures will consist of a presentation from the presenters and an interactive discussion directly after.
