The University of Alabama at Birmingham is extending a helping hand to its employees, students and members of the Birmingham community by providing free tax return preparation and filing resources. This service is available to individuals with an income of $64,000 or less.
The initiative is facilitated through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, hosted at the Regions Institute for Financial Education (RIFE) in the UAB Collat School of Business. UAB employees, students and Birmingham community members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure accurate and efficient tax filing.
