UAB’s Women & Infant’s Center, North Pavilion and UAB Highlands will be lit in teal in during September to signal Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and support planned activities.

The CanSurvive GYN Cancer Support Group will have a GYN Cancer Awareness table at the UAB North Pavilion elevators 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sept. 6 to provide information and educational materials. For more information, visit www.cansurvivesupportgroup.org.
Alabama also offers a “Drive Out Ovarian Cancer” car tag to raise money for research that can be purchased at any local Department of Motor Vehicles. The $50 car tag is tax-deductible, courtesy of the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation. For more information, visit nlovca.org/car-tag.
Each year more than 21,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and about 15,000 women die from the disease.
