The University of Alabama at Birmingham Pediatrics Residency Program through its Community, Outreach and Advocacy Program is hosting its seventh Spring Scramble 5K fundraising run 8 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Trak Shak in Homewood.
The goal of the run, in addition to promoting healthy lifestyle choices among Birmingham’s youth, is to raise funds to support the Children’s of Alabama Center for Weight Management. The cost to participate is $20 for UAB and Children's of Alabama employees and $25 for all other individuals. This includes a race-day T-shirt and a goodie bag for those who register prior to May 18. Students under 12 race for free if they recruit an adult to run, with $10 for a t-shirt, if desired. For registration information visit www.springscramble.org.
