More than 400 student volunteers participate each fall and spring semester to serve at volunteer sites throughout Birmingham. Sites are selected by members of the UAB Leadership and Service Council’s Signature Service Committee, with past partnerships including Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Village Creek Society and the Botanical Gardens. Committee members also select UAB student site leaders at each volunteer site for the day.

The event will begin with registration from 8-8:45 a.m. at the UAB Hill Student Center outdoor amphitheater, where students can sign up for volunteer sites on a first come, first served basis; students must bring their ONECard to register. Volunteers will work on their assigned sites from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. After volunteering, students will return to campus, where lunch will be provided. Volunteers are responsible for transportation to and from volunteer sites.
