affordable housing streamDarrel Christenson, vice president of Community Integration at Ability360, will speak at UAB on the importance of independent living and visitability in real estate at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, in The Edge of Chaos, 1700 University Blvd., 4th floor, Lister Hill Library.

The event is free and open to the public. Planners, builders, advocates, real estate agents, those who plan to work in these fields, persons with disabilities, and concerned citizens are encouraged to attend.
