Children ages 5-12 who are out of school for Veterans Day or Thanksgiving can spend it at day camp at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Register children now for Veterans Day Camp on Monday, Nov. 12, or Thanksgiving Day Camp Nov. 19-21 at the UAB Campus Recreation Center.
Day camps are designed for parents who have to work while their children are not in school. The camps offer many of the same great activities as summer camp, including swimming, rock climbing, arts, crafts and more. Children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities — everything UAB Campus Recreation has to offer under one roof. Day camps run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with additional before and after care options. Snacks are provided, but campers need to provide their own lunch. The cost is $40 for UAB affiliates and $50 for non-UAB affiliates.
Enrollment closes at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 for Veterans Day Camp and Nov. 12 for Thanksgiving Day Camp. All fall day camps will remain open until a week prior to the specific camp day.
