The UAB Bachelor of Fine Arts exhibition represents the culmination of a diverse and intensive program of undergraduate study. A free closing reception is planned for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11.

Seating is first-come, first-served for this free event; ASC members may reserve premium seating and enjoy a free reception. This sneak preview is presented in conjunction with Alabama Public Television.

A one-night-only student showcase, the exhibition will feature the work of Department of Art and Art History students from ARS 495/595: The Collected Narrative class.

The UAB Jazz Ensemble carries on Birmingham’s long jazz tradition through practice and performance. Bandleader and Assistant Professor Steven Roberts, DMA, talks about the key attributes of a jazz musician and the evolution of the award-winning ensemble.
From hip-hop dance to watercolor technique, hand sewing to writing for stage and screen, ArtPlay has an arts class for every creative mind.
Featured will be the UAB Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, the UAB Trumpet Ensemble, and choir students from John Carroll, Calera, Thompson and Hueytown high schools.
