Heather Bradley, senior director of Operations at Cooper Green Mercy Health Services Authority, an affiliate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System, has been awarded the InspireHER award for her support of the September 2024 African American Women’s Health Walk.

InspireHER awards are presented by the national EmpowerHER Foundation to recognize women who make a profound, lasting impact on the lives of others.

“Receiving this award is both a humbling and inspiring experience,” Bradley said. “I am extremely thankful for the recognition, and this award serves as a reminder to me of the phenomenal mentors and support I have had throughout my leadership journey. I am grateful to those who have taught me the value of community, vulnerability, collaboration, and never fearing to start a new conversation or take a step in a new direction.”

At Cooper Green, Bradley oversees operations across several key areas, including facilities, pharmacy and enrollment. She leads the Resource Stewardship Committee, where she champions efforts to strategically allocate Cooper Green’s resources toward achieving its annual enrollment goals. Under her leadership, the committee successfully met its target of 750 patients in her first year and is on track to surpass that goal this year.

“Not only is Heather inspiring our community at large, but the impact she is having inside our four walls is impressive as well,” said Cooper Green Administrator Laura Hurst. “She is a team-builder, an advocate, a lifelong learner and a thousand positives. We couldn’t ask for a better leader.”

Prior to joining Cooper Green in December 2023, Bradley spent over six years at UAB Medicine in Care Transitions, serving as one of the senior directors for the division for four years.

The award will be presented to Bradley at a luncheon May 3 at The Epic Center on Third Avenue West.
