PublicPolicyJoomlaElizabeth Earwood, a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has been awarded a yearlong public policy fellowship with The Fund for American Studies

The 2019-2020 fellowship welcomed 18 promising future leaders from across the United States. Throughout the year, the fellows will discuss the fundamental questions and challenges that a society must address to flourish.

Earwood is currently the legislative aid for U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer of Alabama’s 6th Congressional District. Her interest and knowledge in government only increased during her time interning for former U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions and at the state government level with the Alabama Law Institute and Alabama Policy Institute.

During her time at UAB, Earwood wrote for the student-run Kaleidoscope, was the chair of the College Republicans, worked as a Blount Hall resident assistant and was the co-captain of the  UAB Baseball team’s Diamond Girls.
