Two UAB students selected as ambassadors for the National American School Counselor Association

Allie Saunders and Katie Toler, both counseling majors, will be working hands-on with and learning directly from highly respected professionals in the field of school counseling.
 

Ed StreamAllie Saunders and Katie Toller Two University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Education students will serve as ambassadors for the National American School Counselor Association annual conference in Atlanta from July 15-18.

Allie Saunders and Katie Toler, both school counseling graduate students, will be working hands-on with and learning directly from highly respected professionals in the field of school counseling.

“It’s a phenomenal opportunity, and I’m proud that they are getting the recognition at the university level,” said Heather Windham, Ph.D., assistant professor and clinical placement coordinator in the Department of Human Studies. “Through the amazing work our students are doing, the UAB School Counseling Program will be represented at a national level through this experience. I am so proud of all that Allie and Katie have accomplished and cannot wait to hear about the experiences they have in Atlanta.”
