College of Arts and Sciences Department of Criminal JusticeTodak’s research focuses on critical issues in policing and corrections. Her main research areas include police use of technology, such as TASERS and body-worn cameras; the effects of diversity in criminal justice and the unique experiences of minority criminal justice employees; mental health and wellness in police and corrections officers; and use of force and de-escalation strategies.
She is currently studying women’s experiences with promotion, special assignment, and leadership in policing, and the prevalence of PTSD in correctional officers.
