BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Suzanne Scott-Trammell is the new director of Career Services at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She replaces Judy Traylor, who retired in May after 27 years with UAB. Career Services provides career counseling, job search and career guidance to students. Scott-Trammell comes to UAB from Birmingham-based Lee Hecht Harrison, an international career management service, where she was vice president of business development. Prior to that, she was manager of alumni career services at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, associate director of graduate business career services at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Montevallo. She is a National Certified Counselor and Global Career Development Facilitator Instructor.

Career-related services are available for UAB students and alumni at three campus locations. The main office in the Hill University Center serves all majors.
