BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) National Alumni Society recently elected new officers for its executive committee and two new members to its board of directors during the annual UAB National Alumni Society meeting on Friday, June 22, at the McWane Center. UAB Athletic Director Brian Mackin, a UAB alumnus, was the guest speaker.

Carlton “Skip” Craig and Lisa Turley were elected to the 36-member board of directors. Craig and Turley will each serve a three-year term on the board.

Craig is assistant to the chairman of UAB Emergency Medicine. Turley is an executive assistant with the Jefferson, Blount, St. Clair Mental Health Authority.

The new executive committee officers are as follows:

President-elect-Brian Oakes, attorney, White and Oakes P.C.

Vice Presidents-Cindy Godwin, retired; Brandy Lee, attorney, Campbell, Waller & Poer, LLC; Renita Rigney, enhancement analyst, Blue Cross and Blue Shield; Janice Ward, UAB personnel officer; and Jeff Rogers, account executive, Truitt Insurance Agency Inc.
