BIRMINGHAM, Ala., – Glenn Feldman, Ph.D., has been appointed director of the UAB Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR). He replaces Judith King, CLEAR director from September 2000 until the present, who is returning to the full-time faculty in CLEAR. Feldman is the fourth director of the center in its 34-year history.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., – Glenn Feldman, Ph.D., has been appointed director of the UAB Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR). He replaces Judith King, CLEAR director from September 2000 until the present, who is returning to the full-time faculty in CLEAR. Feldman is the fourth director of the center in its 34-year history.

Feldman joined UAB in 1996 as an assistant professor in CLEAR after completing a Ph.D. in history at Auburn University. He received an M.A. in history at Auburn, an M.A. in political science at Vanderbilt University and two B.A. degrees from Birmingham-Southern College.

He has published more than 25 articles in highly respected academic journals. Feldman, the author or editor of seven books, has appeared on National Public Radio, several local TV and radio programs, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and other publications.
