BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delores Carlito, senior assistant librarian at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Mervyn H. Sterne Library, has won the College, University and Special Libraries Division of the Alabama Library Association Outstanding Professional Publication Award.

Carlito won the award for her 2005 book “Cuban-American Fiction in English: An Annotated Bibliography of Primary and Secondary Sources.” The book was published by Scarecrow Press.

Carlito’s book contains listings and annotations of all novels, anthologies and short story collections written by first and second generations of Cuban Americans. Her book also contains annotations of all secondary works dealing with this fiction and related memoirs, autobiographies and interviews.
