The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Engineering Undergraduate and Graduate Student of the Year awards were announced recently. The Graduate Student of the Year is Kipp B. Carlisle, materials science and engineering, of Hayden. The Undergraduate Student of the Year is David M. Scott, mechanical engineering, of Birmingham. They each were selected from a group of outstanding student nominees for the award.
