The 24-member Tulane University women’s soccer team, their coaches and staff, and four members of the Tulane women’s tennis team arrived in Birmingham Wednesday and are being hosted by UAB at a local hotel. The Tulane soccer team is playing in the UAB-hosted 2005 Nike Classic Women’s Soccer tournament at UAB’s West Campus Field. Tulane will play at 5 p.m. Friday against Louisville and at noon Sunday against Kennesaw State.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The 24-member Tulane University women’s soccer team, their coaches and staff, and four members of the Tulane women’s tennis team arrived in Birmingham Wednesday and are being hosted by UAB at a local hotel. Members of the UAB Women’s Soccer Team and several other UAB athletes, members of the athletic department and other staff members have donated money to help the Tulane athletes with some of their immediate needs. The effort was spearheaded by Women’s Soccer Team captains Laura Skridulis and Jennifer Williams.
