The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has established a new parent support group for those with elementary or middle school age children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has established a new parent support group for those with elementary or middle school age children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The ADHD Parent Support Group meetings are led by licensed UAB psychologists Bart Hodgens, Ph.D., and Cryshelle Patterson, Ph.D., and medical psychology graduate students. Parents can network and receive information and strategies for coping with the challenges of raising children with ADD and ADHD.

Meetings are 6-7:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Redmont School, 1220 50th St. S. in Birmingham. For more information call the UAB Civitan-Sparks Clinics at 205-934-5471.
