BIRMINGHAM, AL — Glenn Kinstler, M.B.A., has joined the UAB School of Business as its MBA program coordinator. Kinstler replaces Melody Lake, who was named MBA program director.

The MBA program coordinator manages the admissions process, advises students on program issues and aids students with class scheduling.

Kinstler, who earned his M.B.A. from UAB in 2001, said his experience as a student in the program will help him better assist the students he will counsel.

“As a graduate, I have unique insight into the classes our MBA students take and it allows me to give them a hands-on perspective,” he said. “It wasn’t that long ago that I was sitting where they are now, and I am able to easily relate to their needs.”

“Glenn’s background and experience is a great fit for this position,” Lake said. “The perspective he can offer our M.B.A. students is invaluable. The students will certainly benefit from his experiences, and the guidance he can give them will only serve to benefit their graduate school experience. We are thrilled to have him on staff.”

Kinstler earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1995. His previous work experience includes television production, program management, special events production and marketing consulting.
