As the controversy over the validity of Ukraine’s recent presidential election continues, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) history professor George Liber, Ph.D., is available to provide insight into Ukraine’s social and political history.

 

 

 

WHO:

 

Liber is an expert in 20th century Ukrainian history, post-Soviet and eastern European social history, nationalism and national identity formation. He has written extensively on ethnic change in the Ukrainian SSR from 1923 to 1933, Ukrainian nationalism and post-Soviet history and urban growth. Liber has taught in the UAB Department of History since 1993.
