The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has appointed two new faculty members to the counselor education program. The program is housed in the School of Education’s Department of Human Studies.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has appointed two new faculty members to the counselor education program. The program is housed in the School of Education’s Department of Human Studies.

Michael Brooks, Ph.D., joins the department as an assistant professor. His research focuses on counselor education and methods for evaluating school counselor effectiveness. He is a licensed mental health counselor.

Barry C. Stephens, Ph.D. also joins the department as an assistant professor. His research focuses on the development of research instrumentation for program assessment and evaluation. He is a certified rehabilitation counselor.
